Lofoten islands are an archipelago of many islands off the coast of Norway, just under the Arctic Circle, not so far from Trømso. These islands have different temperatures throughout the year in contrast to those of other regions. This fact is due to the importance of the Gulf Current. Tourism and fishing are the most important economical activities here, but Lofoten Inhabitants are abandoning the latter. Young people are leaving these coasts to pursuing a better life in bigger cities like Oslo.
